Performances
Musical growth through performance is invaluable and irreplaceable. The Academy provides numerous enrichment opportunities to hone this skill:
Ensembles
CGAA emphasizes ensemble study through the unique feature of teacher collaboration; enabling our students more varied experience in this area. We seek to highlight this overlooked component of a comprehensive musical education as a feature of our program.
Student recitals
There will be two formal student recitals each academic year, with the possibility of more on a need and readiness basis. Individuals registered for private lessons and committed to a complete music education are expected to perform. Ensembles generated from teacher collaboration or from group lessons also perform during these events.
Weekend worship services at Common Ground Christian Church are always an opportunity for prepared and willing student performers with appropriate repertoire.
Half or full recitals by accomplished students are arranged according to readiness and permission from the instructor.
The Academy loves to display the excellence of diligent and faithful students and asks that the entire CGAA community support as many of these performance events as possible with your attendance.
